Have you ever tried to outrun something you didn’t understand—only to realize it was grace chasing you down?
That’s the story behind Running from the Sower. It’s not just a book; it’s a journey. A testimony. A reminder that even when we run from God, He never stops sowing seeds in our hearts.
For years, I thought I was searching for freedom, but really, I was searching for myself—in all the wrong places. From moments of rebellion to seasons of surrender, I learned the truth of Matthew 13: the condition of our hearts determines how deeply God’s Word can take root. And sometimes, the only way to soften the soil is through the storms.
God has a way of using our hardest seasons to reveal His gentlest love. The heartbreaks, detours, and delays weren’t punishment—they were preparation. Every “no” led me closer to His “yes.” Every broken piece became proof that He can bring beauty from dust.
Writing Running from the Sower was my way of telling the world:
Your soil is not too hard for God to cultivate.
Even if you’ve been trampled by life, dried out by disappointment, or tangled in weeds of worry—He’s still sowing. The Sower never stops scattering seeds of grace, mercy, and purpose. All He needs is a heart willing to receive.
And here’s the beautiful part—this story doesn’t end with me. Every copy of this book helps fund my upcoming mission trip to Uganda, where I’ll get to sow literal seeds of hope by serving children, families, and ministries in need. It’s the next chapter of this journey—taking what God planted in me and helping it bloom in others.
So if you’ve ever felt like you’ve run too far, missed too much, or messed up too badly, Running from the Sower is for you. It’s a story of grace that outruns guilt, love that refuses to quit, and soil that—no matter how dry—can still bloom again.
Because the truth is, we all have a little runner in us.
But we also have a Sower who never gives up.
